Examining the Impact of Internal SC Practices, Green human resource management, and Environmental Cooperation on the Performance of Manufacturing Firms of Pakistan

Abstract

The current research has examined internal GSC practices, GHRM, and SC economic performance influence on firm performance, where the mediators between exogenous construct internal GSC practices and endogenous construct firm performance are modelled as GHRM and SC environmental cooperation. The quantitative method was used in the process of data collection by using purposive sampling. The data analysis was conducted on 184 sample responses using PLS-SEM analysis technique. The results have shown that environmental cooperation has a positive and significant effect on firm performance. The firm performance has a positive and significant impact on economic, social and ecological performance, respectively. The GHRM has a positive and significant effect on environmental cooperation and firm performance, respectively.  The internal GSC practices positively and significantly affect environmental cooperation, firm performance, and GHRM, respectively.

Furthermore, the internal supply chain management practices had a significant impact on firm performance. Firm performance holds a crucial position in the management of the organisation. Managers are recommended to adopt internal green supply chain management practices to improve their firm performance in the long run and help attain a competitive advantage.
